Le jardin médiéval In situ

In the centre of Uzès, come and visit the ecofriendly botanical garden and discover plants used in food, medicine, textiles and dyes as well as cereals.

At the top of a little cul-de-sac it’s surprising to find, in the middle of a site dating from the 12th-century, a green space where old stone holding a host of memories appears to embrace the vegetation while at the same time refusing to bow to its reign.

As you climb the 100 steps of the Tour du Roi, you’ll admire a beautiful panoramic view over the rooftops of Uzès and the surrounding region.

A visit to the Tour de l’Évêque and its chapel reveals graffiti-covered walls from the days when the tower held prisoners.

In the shade of a mulberry tree, you can take the time to enjoy a fresh herbal tea, courtesy of the house.

The gardens are the scene of exhibitions, concerts and various cultural events.
